Three panel midi kaftan in olive and brown stripe with burgundy design

Former British VOGUE stylist Pippa Holt creates kaftans with Mexican artisans that are handmade using traditional techniques. The naturally dyed colour brown of ‘limited edition’ No.91 is obtained from the Nanche Tree. The green thread is the result of treating Guayaba Tree leaves with natural fixating agents to really flesh out the tone for the cotton. Both plants are native to the weavers’ village in Mexico. Due to the natural dye process, No.96 has only few units on offer.+
The Pippa Holt Kaftan label is a celebration of Holt’s love of indigenous textiles, bold colours and far-flung travel. Collaborating with a group of artisans in a remote part of Mexico (Felipa, head weaver has been weaving for more than 50 years), together they have created a range of bold, colourful and stylish kaftans that exude an understated luxury which works as well in the city as it does on the beach. Holt's editorial background as a stylist at British Vogue, a degree in fashion design combined with her love of travel is very much evident in her collection. Growing up on the beaches of Australia, she was inspired by her grandmother's style of tropical dressing at her seaside holiday home on The Great Barrier Reef.
